An 18-year-old man shot on Aurora’s West Side has been treated and released from an Aurora hospital, police said.
Police are asking for witnesses and information about the shooting, which took place about 9 p.m. Tuesday on the 1900 block of Bayview Lane.
Two 18-year-old men were sitting in a car parked in a driveway on the block when “what appears to be more than one” male suspect approached them on foot, according to a statement the Aurora Police Department released via Facebook.
One of the suspects shot at the car, hitting one of the men inside, then they all ran to a dark, four-door vehicle that drove away westbound, according to police.
Aurora Fire Department paramedics took the man who was shot to an Aurora hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, and the other man was not injured, police said.
Police said they have not established a motive.
