Riot Fest announced the second wave of bands playing this year’s festival in September, which includes post-punks At The Drive-In, Best Coast, Cap’n Jazz and founding fathers of “Oi!” punk, Cockney Rejects.
Returning to Douglas Park September 15-17, this year’s previously announced headliners include Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age and reunited, veteran punks Jawbreaker.
Others Riot Fest second wave acts are The Casualties, Black Pistol Fire, Mad Caddies, Radar State, RVIVR, Versus, Seaway, Like Pacific, Grayscale, Warm Brew, Culture Abuse, Potty Mouth, Skating Polly, Upset, Gin Rummy, The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black and Kembra Pfahler.
Additionally, several acts are slated to play their seminal albums in full including Dinosaur Jr., The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Built to Spill, Fishbone, Bayside, Mayday Parade, The Lawrence Arms, that dog. and two others yet to be announced.
Pop-rockers Paramore, ’80s nu-wave pioneers New Order, Prophets of Rage, M.I.A., Wu-Tang Clan, Bad Brains, Ministry, Vic Mensa and the Beastie Boys’ Mike D will also be part of this year’s festivities on Chicago’s west side.
Three-day general admission and VIP passes are currently on sale at RiotFest.org.
