Conagra Brands announced an agreement Thursday to acquire Boulder, Colo.-based Thanasi Foods, maker of Duke’s meat snacks and Bigs seeds.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Conagra, headquartered in Chicago, is adding to a snack portfolio that already includes Slim Jim meat sticks and David Seeds. The deal, subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close this summer, according to a Conagra news release.

“This is another exciting step in our ongoing efforts to reshape our portfolio to be more premium and modern,” said Sean Connolly, Conagra CEO, in the release. “These on-trend brands extend our meat snacks and seeds businesses into faster-growing, more premium segments.”

Duke’s products include Duke’s Smoked Shorty Sausages and Duke’s Steak & Brisket Strips. Bigs makes a variety of seed flavors partnering with other brands, like the Tapatio Chile Limon flavor. Thanasi Foods will continue to operate out of Boulder, Colo., according to the news release.
