From laughing up a storm at the Chicago Improv Festival to antique shopping at the Randolph Street Market, here’s what we’re up to this weekend.

BEST BUDS

Celebrate the approaching spring season with a floral spectacular at Macy’s on State Street (111 N. State St. 312-781-1000). Macy’s Flower Show kicks off this Sunday, March 26, and runs through April 9. Carnival, the theme of this year’s exhibition, will feature breathtaking gardens of brightly hued blossoms, a colorful carousel and other carnival classics created with more than 5,000 types of flowers and plants. Macy’s Flower Show is free and will be open during regular store hours.

STEP RIGHT UP!

Snag a front-row seat to the circus this weekend at the Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph St. 312-977-1700). “Circus 1903” will take you back in time to the Golden Age of circus performance, captivating your attention with amazing and dangerous acts from contortionists to high-wire walkers. The show will feature realistic puppets (like elephants) in place of actual animals along with a huge cast of other performers. “Circus 1903” is in town for eight shows, which run through Sunday, March 26. $18-$122. INTO IMPROV

Laugh a little or a lot at the Chicago Improv Festival, slated to start Monday, March 27 at Athenaeum Theatre (2936 N. Southport Ave. 773-935-6875) and Stage 773 (1225 W. Belmont Ave. 773-327-5252). The funny fest, celebrating its 20th anniversary, will run through April 2 and features over 150 improv groups from around the world. Bust a gut at a variety of shows, including musical improv, dramatic improv and two-person comedy shows. $5-$25. Tickets: chicagoimprovfestival.org

SPRING FLING

Toss on your shopping shoes and head to the Randolph Street Market Festival this Saturday and Sunday, March 25-26, for their spring fling event. Held at Plumber’s Hall (1340 N. Washington Blvd. 312-666-1200), the indoor-outdoor urban antique market will feature over 125 vendors selling vintage clothing, jewelry, furnishings and collectibles. Whether you’re looking for a new antiquing hot spot or just want to people watch, the market will likely have what you’re looking for. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. General admission is $8 ($10 at the gate) and good for both days. INDIE POP

If the thought of a weekend concert is music to the ears, then snag a couple tickets to see Regina Spektor perform this weekend. The American singer-songwriter and pianist will play at the Chicago Theatre (175 N. State St. 312-462-6300) this Friday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. as part of her North American tour, which supports her new album “Remember Us to Life.” $87-$277. Tickets: stubhub.com
