Police are looking for a man who stole someone’s wallet at a Glendale post office last month and later used the victim’s credit card to buy a laptop from Best Buy, authorities said.

Around 4:40 p.m. on Aug. 25, the victim set his wallet, sunglasses and iPhone on a counter at the post office — located at 1009 N. Pacific Ave. — and stepped away, said Tahnee Lightfoot, a Glendale police spokeswoman.

The suspect was caught on video eyeing the items and standing in front of them for a few moments before swiping them from the counter and leaving the post office.

Police on Thursday released surveillance footage of the theft, as well as video of the same man walking in and out of Best Buy. When he left the store, he was carrying the laptop.

The suspect was described as between 25 and 32 years old, roughly 5 feet, 10 inches and weighing more than 200 pounds.

Anyone with information on the theft can call Glendale police at (818) 548-4911. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
