Ginger Zee is balancing a few roles — new mother, “Good Morning America” chief meteorologist and “Dancing with the Stars” contestant — and she hopes to be a role model for others.

“I think there’s a lot of new moms out there that are going, ‘I don’t know if I can do that,’ but I think hopefully being a role model will (help). Women get asked that all the time. ‘How are you gonna do it all?’… It’s just underlying,” Zee said this week. “We’re just doing it. There isn’t a question of ‘How are you gonna do it?'”

Zee, 35, gave birth to her first child, a son named Adrian Benjamin, in December. She’s set to return to “GMA” from maternity leave Monday.

Zee, a Valparaiso University alumna, worked for WMAQ-Ch. 5 from 2006-11.

She’s partnered with pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy for Season 22 of “Dancing with the Stars,” which is set to premiere 7 p.m. March 21 on ABC.
